This project was created during Gillian's second year of the Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma. This project is based on creating a 3 dimensional mold of a sunflower through the technique of reverse engineering. The goal of this project is to design an object that can be made from two 4 in x 4 in x 1 in pieces of of polypropylene material, then machined using a CNC 3-axis machine. The sunflower, mold, and assembly are designed/created using Solidworks.
